Aunt of
                        W.P. 'Bill' Richardson

Esther was the fifth child and second
daughter of William Pallister Richardson and his wife
                        Esther (nee Howey).

She was born on the 21st January 1901 at the family home
in Railway Terrace, Usworth and was named for her
                        mother.

The sadness continued for this family as Esther was yet
another premature baby and did not have the strength to
live. She died just thirty minutes after she was born.

Her father, William, registered her birth one day and I
assume waited for the doctor to certify Esther's death
before returning to the registrar's office to register
                        her death the next day.

Esther was buried at Usworth Holy Trinity on the 22nd of
January 1901, her burial was recorded in the parish
register and the service was performed by the Rector of
                        Usworth,  Alexander Begg.    |
