Daughter of
W.P. 'Bill' Richardson's Great Uncle, Thomas Richardson
Mary Ellen was the
ninth child of Thomas Richardson and his wife Mary
Eleanor (nee Purvis). She was born on 19th October 1907 and her birth was registered in the Chester le
Street Registration District. She was
baptised as Mary Ellener Purvis Richardson on 13th
November 1907 and her baptism was recorded in the
Primitive Methodist Register for Jarrow Circuit. The
family lived at 38 Cooperative Terrace, New Washington
and Mary Ellen's Dad worked as a Check-Weighman at the
colliery. Sadness
again for the family when she died in the last quarter
of 1908, at the age of one. She was buried at Holy
Trinity, Usworth on 8th November 1908. |
