Daughter of
W.P. 'Bill' Richardson's Great Aunt, Annie Richardson
Annie was born on
17th July 1903 and her birth was registered
in the Chester le St. Registration District. Her parents
were Ralph Middleton (a bricklayer) and his wife Annie
(nee Richardson). She was given the middle name of
Richardson, which was her mother's maiden name.
She was baptised on the 12th August 1903 and her baptism
was recorded in the Primitive Methodist Register for
Jarrow Circuit. The record shows that the family lived
at Manor View, Washington and Annie's Dad worked as a
bricklayer.
Annie's father, Ralph, died in 1909 when she was 6.
The census of 1911 recorded the family living at 6 Manor
View, Usworth, Co. Durham and Annie was 7. Her Mam was
listed as a 35 year old widow and she had a
confectionery shop. Annie had two brothers: Robert (13)
and William (3). Annie didn't marry and the next document which relates to her is her death certificate.
She died on 29th March 1974 in Whinney House Hospital, Gateshead.
Her death was registered by her niece, Lydia Humphrey, a daughter of
her brother Robert. Annie was cremated at Sunderland crematorium
on 3rd April 1974. |
