Doris Ann Purvis
Richardson was the third child of Robert Richardson and
his wife Sarah Ann (nee Purvis). She was born on 7th
February 1905 and her birth was registered in
the Chester le Street Registration District.
Doris was baptised on 9th March 1905 and her baptism was
recorded in the Primitive Methodist Register for Jarrow
Circuit. The record says that the family lived at 36,
Cooperative Terrace, New Washington and that Doris's Dad
worked as a miner.
Sadly, Doris died in May 1906, just 15
months old. Her death and funeral arrangements
were announced in the Newcastle Evening Chronicle on 7th
May 1906 and her funeral took place the following day at
Usworth Holy Trinity. |
