Richardson's Great Uncle, Ralph Pallister Richardson
Robert was the first child of Ralph
Richardson and his wife Frances (nee Carr). He was born
on 15th October 1906 and his birth was registered in the
Chester le Street Registration District.
His baptism took place on 31st October 1906 and it was
recorded in the Primitive Methodist Register for Jarrow
Circuit. The record shows that the family were living at
68 Speculation Place, New Washington, Washington Parish
and Robert's Dad was an Engineman. He was
recorded on the census of 1911, aged 4. The family lived
at 1 Monument Terrace, New Washington. His Dad, Ralph,
was 30 and the census return says he was a shopkeeper (
and also a permanently disabled miner following an
accident when he was working as a shifter at Usworth
Colliery). Frances, Robert's Mam, was 27 and Robert had
a new baby brother , Ralph who was 4 months old.
Robert died aged 79 in March 1985. His death was
registered in the Sunderland District. |
