(6th June 1904  -  ?)

Son of  W.P. 'Bill' Richardson's Great Uncle, James Howey

Thomas was born on 6th June 1904, he was the second child of James Howey (a miner) and his wife Annie (nee Hodgson). His birth was registered in the Chester le Street Registration District.

He was baptised on 29th June 1904 and his baptism was recorded in the Primitive Methodist Register for the Jarrow Circuit. The record says that the family lived at 21 Albert Terrace, Usworth Station and that Thomas' Dad was a miner.

The 1911 census recorded Thomas with his family at 1 Westgarth Terrace, New Washington, Co. Durham.  He was six years old. His Dad was 33 and worked in the mine as a 'Stoneman'. his Mam was 36. The census return said that his parents had been married for 14 years and they'd had two children. Thomas's older brother Stephen had died not long after he was born.

Thomas was to have a sister, Annie who was born in 1915. Sadly his Mam died about a month after Annie was born. Thomas was only about ten years old.

Thomas's father re-married in 1917, to Sarah J Pigg.

I don't yet have any more information about Thomas.
