Annie was born on
26th July 1915, she was the third child and only
daughter of James Howey and his wife Annie (nee Hodgson).
She was born at 25, Front Street, Usworth and her
father, who was a coal miner, registered her birth. She
had an older brother, Thomas who was about ten when she
was born. Sadly, Annie's Mam, also called
Annie, died about a month after the birth.
Annie's father re-married in 1917, Annie's step Mam was
Sarah J (nee Pigg). For the moment, that
is all the information I have for Annie. |
