Richardson's Great Aunt, Mary Ellen Gilliland
Hilda was born on
18th September 1899. She was the first child of
John Moordaff Cape and his wife Mary Ellen (nee
Gilliland). She was baptised at the
Methodist Church in Stanley, Co. Durham on 24th October
1899 and her baptism record says her father was a miner
and the family lived at Sunniside. Sadly, like so many babies of
that time, Hilda did not live very long and died in the
second quarter of 1900. |
