James Howey
Jane was born in
the third quarter of 1868, she was the third child of
James Howey and his wife Dorothy (nee Hall) and her
birth was registered in the Morpeth Registration
District. She was recorded on the census
of 1871 aged 2 living with her family at Felton Mills,
Northumberland. Her Dad, James, was 34 and he worked as
a cartman at the mill. Her Mam, Dorothy, was 31. Jane
had two older sisters, Elizabeth (6) and Sarah (4). She
also had a younger brother, William (8 months).
Jane's mother, Dorothy, died in 1879.
Sadly, Jane died in early 1881 aged 12. |
