Great Great Aunt of  W.P.
                        'Bill' Richardson

Born in 1835 in South Shields, Isabella Robinson
Richardson was the third child of Thomas Richardson and
                        his wife Mary (nee Robinson).

She was baptised on the 18th October 1835 at St. Hilda's
church in South Shields, by John Fox a curate from
Gateshead. She was given the middle name of Robinson,
which was her mother's maiden name.

The 1841 census recorded Isabella as age 6, living with
her family in Union Alley  South Shields. Her
father, Thomas, was a brick maker.

By the time of the 1851 census Isabella was 15. The
family had moved, first to Barnard Castle Moor and then
to Usworth. Isabella was now back in South Shields,
earning her living as a house servant in the home of her
uncle, John Robinson at 100 Wapping Street.

In the last quarter of 1857 Isabella married William
Patterson, a boiler maker originally from Gateshead.
Their marriage was registered in the Sunderland
                        district.

The 1861 census recorded Isabella (age 24) and William
(age 25) living in High Street in Jarrow. William was
still working as a boiler maker.

The census of 1871 shows Isabella as aged 36. she and
William were still living in Jarrow but he was no longer
working as a boiler maker. They were living in North
Street at the Victoria public house and William was
listed as the publican. An 8 year old girl, Ann Simonds
was listed as William's niece. There were also two
general servants living there - Margaret McVete and Amy
                        Southare.

As yet, I haven't been able to find any information
                        about Isabella after 1871.
