John Gilliland
I dont have much
information about Winifred, she was born on 20th
August 1911 and her birth was registered in the
Stockton Registration district, her mother's maiden name
was Liddle. On 29th August
1935, Winifred married John Gilliland, the son of John Edward Gilliland and his wife Ada
Isabel (nee Lee). Their marriage took place at the
Methodist Church, Yarm Road, Stockton on Tees, Winifred
was 23 and worked as a Drapers Assistant, John was 28
and he worked as a Dispenser at the Mental Hospital.
Their witnesses were W.R. Makin and Bessie Hutchinson. Winifred and John were
to have two sons. John was born in 1936 and James
was born in 1945.
Winifred died on 25th July 1989, she was 77 years old.
Her cremation took place at Durham Crematorium and her
Cremated Remains were scattered there in the Garden of
Remembrance. |
