Lily was born in
the third quarter of 1916, the fifth child of William
Gilliland and his wife Lily (nee Tweddell), her birth
was registered in the Lanchester Registration District.
Her Dad was a coal miner and her
brothers and sisters were Mary (born 1907), Hugh (born
1909), Elsie (born 1912 and died 1913), David (born 1914)
and Grace (born 1920).
In the third quarter of 1939, Lily
married Peter F Davison, thir marriage was registered in
the Durham NW Registration District. I
have not been able to find a record to say they had
children. Lily died on the 22nd August
2007, she was 91 years old. |
